Eligibility:

  • Businesses with 500 or fewer employees

  • Eligible businesses include nonprofits, veterans’ organizations, tribal concerns, self-employed individuals, sole proprietorships, and independent contractors

  • Businesses with more than 500 employees are eligible in some industries like hospitality

Loans are forgivable if used for: 

  • Payroll expenses

  • Healthcare benefit expenses

  • Rent / lease payments

  • Utilities

  • Interest on pre-existing debt

  • Loan proceeds need to be spent on these expenses within 8 weeks of receiving the loan or between 2/15/2020 and 6/30/2020

When to Apply:

  • Businesses and sole proprietorships can apply starting on April 3rd 2020

  • Self-employed individuals and independent contractors can apply starting on April 10th 2020

  • SBA encourages you to apply ASAP! Loans will be disbursed on a first-come-first-served basis
